Disneyland Paris as adults
« on: February 16, 2009, 07:00:08 PM »
I have some time booked off that I had planned to do something else with, but those plans fell through.  I was just looking on my lunch to see if I could finda a short getaway with dh, and I found some really excellent deals for Disneyland Paris.  Now, we're in our late 20s and we don't have kids, so I'm a little worried this might be too kiddie for us (although we are big kids at heart).  I think I was at Disney World Orlando when I was 11, so I can't remember if there was fun stuff for adults too, or just kids.  Anyway, anyone have any thoughts or has been there and could tell me what it's like?  Thanks in advance.

Do it!  We had fun when we took the kids.  It's pretty cool.

Ohh, yes, you have to go.  I have never been to the Paris one (Would love to know how it is for the near future)

The last time I went was about 10 years ago, but to Disneyland in CA.  I went with my dad and we had a blast.

We are going to Disney World in April with my family. (My mom is going to watch Josh, she offered ;D

David and I went for our 5th Anniversary just the 2 of us. We had a BLAST!!!!

I have been about 9 times myself. We always stay in the Newport Bay Hotel reasonably close to both park entrances.

I was invited to the opening of the Walt Disney Studios there when I was a travel agent. The rock-n-roll rollar coaster is so much fun.......

I absolutely love Disneyland ;D!!

I have been to the Disney World Resort once (aged 15 months... so don't remember it at all), Disneyland Paris four times (aged 10, 14, 16 and 22) and Disneyland, CA three times (aged 20, 21 and 24). I don't think it gets too 'kiddie' for adults at all. In fact I think it can be better when you go as an adult (with no kids) because then you can skip the slow, kids rides altogether and go straight for the fun, fast rollercoaster-type ones instead ;) :P.

The Aerosmith Ride.  The best in the park! My mum and I went a few years ago.

Yes!  Go!!  You won't be the only adults running around acting like goofballs, believe me.

Honestly, I think it's more fun without kids. :D

I was dying to go on this ride and then ended up not being able to due to food poisoning :(! I was there for a week with one of my best friends who doesn't like fast rides... so we decided to wait until the last day of the trip to do Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Aerosmith ride (so she could have time to pluck up the courage :P). But unfortunately, I ate a bad burger from the fast food restaurant in Discoveryland (wouldn't recommend eating there) on the second last day and spent the rest of the trip nursing a bad stomach and trying not to throw up :(... which meant no fast rides for me on the last day (which I'm sure my friend was gald about due to her dislike of rollercoasters :P).

Haven't been to Disneyland Paris but I worked in Disneyland Tokyo and a lot of the times, we get a lot of honeymooners and childless couples who come for the fun.  There are plenty of things to do besides the kiddy stuff.  In fact, I think it would probably be more fun without the kiddies are you're not trying to rip your hair out to keep them all together  ;D
