Mountain Dew coming back to the UK?
« on: February 24, 2009, 11:53:02 AM »
I read a while back that Pepsi are going to re-introduce Mountain Dew to the UK but I don't know if any more has been heard of it. The original story was this: newcomer link: http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/news/855193/Pepsi-rolls-700m-global-brand-makeover [nonactive]

I hope so. A month ago I managed to find imported Mountain Dew at Meadowhall in Sheffield.

They have it in all the Chinese shops in Cambridge.

Even if they do start producing it in the UK it won't taste the same. Pepsi here doesn't taste like Pepsi from the States, Dr Pepper is even worse! So I'd rather get it on import! IMO.

Found imported Mountain Dew at the corner shop by my office - 50p a can - and I think it tastes better than the US version.  It's not as syrupy/thick, so it's a bit more refreshing.

Still can't drink too much of it, though.

Oh my life, it would be a dream if Mt. Dew was available here.  I don't care if it tastes different (read: less sweet), it'll still be a thing of beauty. :D

This is awesome news.  As I try to decide whether to move to London this year, access to Mountain Dew is huge a plus.
