HME and I are meeting in city centre a little bit earlier for a bit of a wander, so we'll see everyone at the Tiled Hall Cafe.  Unless you're afraid you won't find your way there?  But I have confidence in y'all, your Google mapping devices, not to mention my directions.  :P  But let me know if you're afeared!  :)

Thanks to everyone who turned out for the book club yesterday!  It was great seeing the familiar faces as well as meeting some new peeps.  :)

We'll await more details (exjerseygirl and/or Meg  :)) on the April 4th meeting - hopefully in York (persephone?  :)) - the April book being Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking.

It was great to see everyone.   :)
I really talked ExtraordinaryGeorgiaGyrl's ear off though.   [smiley=blush.gif]

I had a brilliant time down in Leeds Saturday (Mrs. R - excellent site choice!).  It was lovely meeting ExtraordinaryGeorgiaGirl and Janine (and I loved hearing EGG bring out Meg's southern drawl!).  Many warm thanks to all who made it and all who made it possible.

I think persephone is checking on the viability of a particular York location, so once we hear back from her we'll (Meg or me or someone) will post April's meet-up details.

For those interested in May's meet up, we had a bit of a chat Saturday about lightening the May load since the April book is a big ol' nonfiction read.  We've got a couple ideas floating - including a poetry session where everyone brings their favorite poem, She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb, Revolutionary Road (which I think we agreed was doing to wait until late summer), and one or two other books I can't recall at the moment.  May also promises to be complicated with lots of people traveling and/or being visited by family and friends.

For those really into long-term planning, June's meet-up is currently scheduled for Saturday, June 6th.  No book or place chosen as of yet.

...the April book being Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking.

Interestingly enough, Amazon.co.uk has just let me know that since I'm reading Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking - that I'd probably also like to read Clean: An Unsanitised History of Washing...as I sit here in my bathrobe, not having showered yet.  What are they trying to say?!  [smiley=anxious.gif]  [smiley=laugh4.gif]

I was going to ask you Mrs R would you like me to put a link / listing to this next meet on the Expats in Yorkshire group on Facebook?

ETA:  Stoopid me I just realised I can't make it - DH's cousin's getting married on the 4th!   :P  I would rather be at the bookclub though (and DH probably would as well).   :o
