Good Driving School in Manchester?
« on: April 22, 2009, 02:49:14 PM »
Well...it's time I start preparing for the driving test here. (Which, I must say, makes me MORE nervous than anything so far...).  Does anyone know of a good driving school in Manchester? I've picked up a few of the big names, but there seem to be a lot of smaller ones around (judging by the number of random cars advertising them), and I didn't know if anyone had any experience of them up here.
Also, can I check out the highway code from the library or read it online? Or should I just buy it from amazon?
Thanks! This site has been soooo helpful (especially last week when I was trying to figure our the glory that is US/UK taxes)

I was taught a few years ago by a small independant driving instructor, where in Manchester are you? She was a firecracker when I took lessons from her, she doesn't suffer fools gladly, but that helped me greatly to pass my test.

She is in Didsbury...is that too far from you?
