Ok it's confirmed for 1600-1800 on 14 March.  If we want to use it again, we'd have to pay (new management).  She was very generous in letting us use it this time for free.  It's the same pub as last year around this time, not too far from either Pimlico or Victoria stations.  Please contact me if you need better directions or if you would like my mobile number for contacting me if you get lost.  If someone books for that time, we might be bumped, but the manager doesn't see that happening.  We can always meet in the main part of the pub near the fireplace, where there's a nice little nook.

The address is:
The Clarendon
52 Cambridge St, SW1V 4QQ
MAP

If people are interested, I can set up a reservation for afterwards at Grumbles.  Grumbles was probably the first non-cafe type restaurant in the area.  It's a very nice little place, but we'd probably need a reservation for a group of any size.  It's located on the way to Victoria station from the pub:

http://www.grumblesrestaurant.co.uk/ (includes a typical menu with vegetarian and vegan options, and a map).

35 Churton Street, Pimlico, London, SW1V 2LT

Let me know how many of you are interested in Grumbles, and I will set the reservation. :)

Bumping the thread as a reminder...and also to invite anyone who wants to attend but didn't read the book.  The book this month (Watching the English) allows for plenty of room for discussion/participation even if you haven't read it!

Also, many thanks to Legs Akimbo for setting up the meeting space! ;D

I'm a good jumper, he said, but I'm not so good at landing.   Maybe you should stay closer to the ground then, I said.  He shook his head and said the ground was the whole problem in the first place.  (Brian Andreas, Story People)
