Sweet! Well I am sure you will love it, then.  ;D  Good luck with everything, and I certainly hope your plans don't fall through!  :-\\\\ Stick around the forum and let us know how things are going!  (We could use a few more men around, at any rate... lol!)

I agree. But sorry ladies his first dinner date in UK is with me  ::)

And I am GREATLY looking forward to it, I am from Jamaica so I think I actually have a leg up on the average American when it comes to what to expect over there. We were a British colony for a few hundred years, my aunt/uncle have been and to hear them tell it, the UK is like Jamaica, but colder, and a much more developed infrastructure. We drive on the same side of the road, spell things the same way, and I grew up watching playing cricket/rugby/football as the rest of the world knows it. Even when I read threads about the run around of going about your business it reminds of things I did in Jamaica up until I was 19, even the driver's license process is the same down to putting that big red "L" on a car if a driver with a learner's permit is driving.

Hehe.  I'm from Trinidad originally, so I know what you mean- I grew up with British spelling (before moving to the States), British words/phrases, my dad is a huge cricket fan, etc, etc.  Even so the UK is still a different animal entirely, but I have to say coming from a Caribbean background did lessen the culture shock somewhat. :)
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

I don't see where anyone had asked him to dinner...  ???
If this is a jealousy thing because I was being kind, don't worry - I'm very happily married, as are most of the women here.

It was a joke, not a jealousy thing at all.  :)
