US License when changing countries
« on: April 28, 2009, 05:16:41 PM »
Hi

I have lived in England since last October. I am moving to Scotland at the end of May. I know from this forum that I am allowed to use my U.S. license for 1 year. Will the time start over when I change countries?-will it start with my new visa? (was on work permit-changed to FLR-M in April)

Thanks!

Scotland is still the UK.  I doubt your clock would restart.
On s'envolera du même quai
Les yeux dans les mêmes reflets,
Pour cette vie et celle d'après
Tu seras mon unique projet.

Je t'aimais, je t'aime, et je t'aimerai.

No your 12 months does not start over. Nice Try though...because it is a Great Britian Driving license not an English or a Scottish license.

Your 12 months will end on the 1st anniversary of date you entered the UK in October.
