Ok perhaps this is wishful thinking but I was hoping that when I move to the UK I could ship my stuff via upackweship and then give them my UK address after I have given them my things. The reason for this is that it is my understanding that it will take up to 3 months for my stuff to arrive. When I move to London intially I will not have an apartment lined up. I figured (if they let me) I'd ship my stuff the day before flying to London and then contact them with an exact London address within 2-3 weeks of having dropped off my shipment.

Am I totally dreaming? Has anyone done this? I'd really like to avoid having to fly back to the US just a few weeks after arriving in the UK.

We went through Robinson's and I'd check directly with Upak to be certain but we gave them a general address when they picked up and we confirmed the actual delivery address after we'd arrived but before our stuff made it to the US. That was because they contract out the delivery to a local company (who we'd not recommend although Robinsons was fab).

So in general, yes it can be done. Will that one company do it? You'd be best off contacting them directly. :)

That sounds promising! Yes, I think I will contact them directly. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.  :)
