*I want to be LisaE when I grow up.

Me TOO!!!

You know, I have a book called, "The Way You Wear Your Hat."  The author did a series of written interviews with Frank Sinatra in the last years of Sinatra's life, asking him questions about everything to how he liked his drinks to how shiny he liked his shoes to how much sleep he got.  It's a really fascinating, fun read.

Can you write one, Lisa? Then, when we think to ourselves, "What would Lisa do?" we can just flip open our book and see.

It never would have occured to me to wipe off the metal surfaces in my shower although I do wipe the sink spigot with tp while I brush my teeth, as my hubby slobbers a lot when he brushes and I brush after him.  Ick.)
I want to get my life better organized.  Maybe you could do a regular thread, like Mr. Nibbles in Spouse House?

(I might sound like I'm being facetious here.  I'm not.)

And I have the Queen of Clean book to, and have not found anything better than her lemon juice and baking soda combo for removing yellowy stains from dh's shirt underarms...it cuts through residual deoderant like a charm!

I think I'll just invite LisaE over to squeegy my shower for me!  ;D

I couldn't get into that habit, sorry but I'm lazy! I'll give Mr Muscle a try!

You guys...what a kick! I am laughing so hard I am peeing myself!

What would Lisa do? She'd politely get up from her seat, walk calmly to the bathroom in a "natural" sort of way as to not evoke any sort of suspicion. She'd then secretly grab a change of clothes and then reappear, explaining that her clothes were just a little too warm to be wearing right now, and ahhh, she feels much fresher now.

No, I lied.
She'd say she peed herself laughing.  ;)

Sounds like Lisa needs to buy some diapers. ;)

Can't you buy packets of stuff you pour in the kettle and boil with it to get rid of limescale?

Yeah, you can get those here but I'm not keen on putting some dangerous chemical in my kettle. You'd have to rinse like a mofo. I'd just rather not take the risk.

We use those kettle de-scaler things all the time, they really aren't that fiddly and work really nice. We have the most lime-scaley water in the history of lime-scaley things though - so we sort of have to.  :-\\\\

I've used vinegar in my kettle and that seems to work pretty well -- it doesn't remove all of the gunk but it does remove most of it.

My husband claims that the limescale gets "filtered out" through the net thing/strainer (whatever you call it)  as its poured.  ::)  Yeah, RIGHT. So why do I taste little pellets in my tea if it hasn't been descaled?? BLEAH!
