Atlanta to Heathrow to France - Abide by UK Pet Scheme????

Hello folks,

A friend is moving to France and her flight plans are Atlanta to France, but with a transfer in Heathrow. She's trying to get information on whether or not she needs to abide by UK Pet Scheme for her 3 kitties or does she just need to follow Frances requirements?

She keeps getting bounced around when trying to get the right information so she's a bit confused as to what to do.

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Has she called Defra yet? If not, I would recommend giving them a call; they have very helpful staff on the phonelines who know their stuff and can tell her what has to happen in this case.
