I have a question regarding the Costco membership card - from what I have read only the US stores will issue cards to non-business people. So if you are living in the UK how do you go about renewing the card each year ?

I do mine online every year.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Had every intention of signing up for Costco before we moved but for whatever reason didn't and now I am here in the UK only to find you can't become a member??  What is this all about?

I see that you can sign up online for the US membership.  Do you guys think it would work if I signed up for a US membership and just had it all shipped to my mom?  She could forward everything over to me.

But aren't there pictures on the card? It says online they will mail you your card within 5-10 days, how would that work?  Any thoughts?

My husband was not with me when we signed up for the account the first time, so they just gave me a card with his name on it and no picture.  Occasionally, when he uses it he does get asked to show picture ID.

It seems to vary a bit. We usually go to the one in Watford and they have stuff like Skippy and Krusteaz all the time and then occaisionally a few additional items. Last weekend we went to Milton Keynes and I thought they had more - lots of Hershey's stuff and that sort of thing....

That's exactly what we did, as we had let our US one lapse.  We just got the photo put on the next time we were in the US at a Costco.  I had our cards mailed to my mom and she sent them on to us.

So the UK stores will let you use the card without a photo on it?  If this is the case I am going for it!  ;D

Did just find out the other that DH's sister had a membership but she let it lapse. She is checking into it to see if she can just renew or if it will be a problem.  But would like to have my own so that I am not having to wait on when she wants to go.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
