It is.  I was on it a couple of years ago.  I'll have to look up the name, but it only needed to be changed once a week.

It's called Evra. Not Ortho-Evra like in US.

It certainly is available in the UK - I asked my Dr for it about 4 years ago - she wasn't sure if they covered it - but they did.  Everytime I see the nurse, she is surprised I'm on it - as I'm the only patient in their office on it. 

One thing - pharmacies don't have it in stock often.  I always have to drop off my Rx and then go back the next day to pick it up.  Or, I order from boots mail order Rx service.

I'd like to get back on the patch when I move over next month.  My US doctor decided it was better for me to skip my periods all together, so I never had the week without the patch (I went straight to the next month, like how many people skip the BC placebo pills ), but I believe there is some minor degree of controversy surrounding this depending on the doctor.  Does anyone know what I may expect with the NHS doctors?  Should I expect some pushback, or trouble getting prescription refills before the month is out?
