The USPS!!!
« on: May 29, 2014, 09:34:27 PM »
Package was sent registered and arrived in the USA via Royal Mail in one day.  The tracking states that it is now at a ISC (sorting center) in NY.  It has been there for days with no updates. I just read horror stories about the place as a "black hole" for international mail.   How long does registered mail to the USA usually  take to be delivered?

I don't think there is a way to track once it arrives in the US, but I wouldn't get worried until 7 business days after arrival in the NY.

As Fruitgum says, Royal Mail is only trackable whilst in the UK.  That's why it's advisable to send important documents by an independent courier like FedEx or DHL which is trackable all the way through.

There are rumours that if you enter the Royal Mail tracking number into the tracking number on the USPS website you *may* see results.

Good luck.  I hope it turns up soon.

Hope it got there by now. FWIW, I used my Royal Mail number on the USPS site last year for an Airsure (now International Tracked) item and it worked.
