Pen pal swap for US-UK Brownies/Girl Scouts/Girl Guides

Hi all,

My sister runs a Brownie troop in Virginia and would like to know if there are any Girl Guide/Brownie/etc (any girl group equivalent really!) troops would like to have a "group" - pen pal exchange.  I had to ask her myself what she meant. She is looking for a girl group who would be interested in sending a group letter to the US group and vice versa. They could hear and learn about what other groups were doing and learning.  She said just one group letter would be fine, just to give the girls exposure to other cultures. I thought it was a brilliant idea!

As I myself have no children, and as this would be a great learning experience for both my little niece and all the girls, I am happy to forward this offer along. If anyone is interested, please PM me.  Many thanks!  Any takers?

My sister-in-law is involved in Brownies, I will ask her tomorrow if she's interested.  Is there a particular age group your sister has in mind?

I can hook you up...  PM me the details (Brownies - what age? Brownies in UK are 6-9) and I will see if my connections are interested.  I was a Girl Guide Leader in UK for 5 years and I know of at least a few units in my old district that would be interested. 

The Girl Scouts/Guides used to have an official pen pal service back when I was a Scout (many years ago).  I've been writing to my pen pal from it for nearly 40 years.

The age group is 7,8, and 9- but I think they would be happy with hearing about any age group.
