My local Sainsburys stopped selling Dimlah orange pekoe teabags.  Grrrrrrrrrrr!

uh-oh... those are the ones i used to buy.
I'd better check to see they're still available when my supply runs out...

I wonder if you could find loose-leaf orange pekoe if you can't get the bags anymore.

I used to have this great iced tea maker, but it kicked the bucket a few years ago. I started using my coffee maker to brew the tea and then dumping it in a pitcher of ice.  I agree that the orange pekoe does make great tea, we use luzianne (sp?) but I don't know if you can get that in the UK or not, but otherwise we just use the British Tetley we have for cuppas.

Once in awhile though, I have some almond sunset tea and for a change, it makes pretty good iced tea.

I think the Whittards in our shopping mall is still open.

I heard that they went bust, but maybe they managed to find someone to buy them out or something... ah, here we go: Whittard sold to private equity

Thanks! I'd wondered about that as our Truro branch had big SALE signs in the window a year or so ago, but it's still there and still open (not that I've ever been in, but you have to walk past it to get to TK Maxx!).

Whittard does and the two are still open in my town.  I use them to make iced tea, but I also just use the flavoured teas as well.   I thin the mango makes a very nice iced tea.

They always have sale signs up for something though.

Starbucks at the bottom of Regent St does iced tea. I don't think it's listed on their menu, but there was no problem getting one. £1.70 for a large (pint size).
