EUROUSE Problems!
« on: August 26, 2009, 10:22:28 AM »
My stuff has arrived in the U.K. I have to pay 51 pounds and 50 pence for the customs inspection. I also have to mail in a C3 form to get my items cleared. I mailed in the forms and a check three weeks ago. The parcel never arrived according to e-mails from EUROUSA Shipping, and the check never cleared.

The biggest problem is that I went to mail another check and parcel yesterday and Royal Mail told me that the address could not be verified. The people that I dealt with in Houston, TX were amazing. This side of the Atlantic is getting a bit scary.

The listed address is:
74-75 Fred Dannatt Road
Mildenhall, Suffolk
IP28 7RD

Can anyone on here verify this address or give me any advice in dealing with these movers?

Thanks in advance.

I had to go through the same process.  Signed the forms and sent the payment.  It took a few weeks before anything happened.  I didn't realize that things can actually take that long in customs but after calling them at about the two week mark, EUROUSA informed me that they were still waiting for the things to clear.  Once they cleared though, they called with a delivery date.
If the check never cleared, can you maybe stop payment on it and write another one?

The plan is to call the bank and cancel the old check. Do you know anything about the address issue I'm encountering?

The house number 74-78 doesnt appear to exist under that post code.

The Royal Mail website shows a company called Euro USA Shipping at 67-68 Fred Dannat Road, under the postcode IP28 7RD.

I looked up the address on Google maps.  While it does not show the specific number there, it does show that Fred Dannatt road is a very small road.  Surely if it is addressed to EUROUSA, even if you didn't have the exact number, the delivery person would find it easily enough.  I'm sure it is a big place.

The link I posted above does show the same address that you wrote.

Again, I dealt with the same people and I had no trouble at all other than it seemed to take longer than I expected.

EDITED TO ADD:  I looked through my email address book and found the email address I used to correspond with them.  queries@eurousa.co.uk
Maybe you already have it, maybe not.

Just to update everyone....

They called me last week to arrange a delivery for Monday of the week. The guys got here at 9:00 and were gone by 10:30. They did a very good  job and pointed out some slight damage.

The guys that delivered the goods were contractors that EuroUSA hires.

I'm still waiting for the customs clearing check I wrote to clear. EuroUSA just seems a bit unorganized.

Thanks for the replies.
