Homemade Lemonade - Need help fast
« on: July 22, 2004, 09:50:01 AM »
I'm hoping that somebody can help me and give me a lemonade recipe - quickly!

I'm having friends over for lunch and decided to make homemade lemonade.  I cleared out Sainsbury's of most of their lemons.

Only now I've just discovered that I gave my American cookbook with my recipe to a friend who was looking for authentic American recipes for sweet potatoes!   :o

I know what the ingredients are and that it's simple.  I just need the correct ratios.

Help would be most appreciated.  Guests are arriving at 12:00! [smiley=help.gif]

Thanks!

Kellie

Real Old-Fashioned Lemonade

Prep Time - 10 Minutes  Serves:

6 Sunkist lemons -juice
1 cup sugar, or to taste
4 cups cold water
1 Sunkist lemon , cut into cartwheel slices
ice cubes

To make one portion:

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and sugar; stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the remaining ingredients and blend well.
"Pink Lemonade" Variation:
Add a few drops of red food coloring or grenadine syrup.
Honeyed Lemonade Variation:
Substitute honey to taste for the sugar
Makes 6 servings

Here's one from the sunkist site..hope it helps
