« on: July 22, 2004, 11:04:32 PM »
Hi All,

Well I'm still pregnant and due on Monday the 26th, so as the time gets closer I'm getting a little anxious as well as nervous!!! I'll let you all know when I've delivered, if my hubby doesn't beat me to it.

Joanne & Hope Lavender
4 days to go!!

Good luck Joanne hope all goes according to plan. Everyone keeps telling me that raspberry leaf tea is the thing to drink to speed your delivery along

I've heard of the tea, I went to Tesco's but they had none is stock. How does your CA guy like the UK?? We have only been here for 3 months and I'm missing CA like crazy and I'm english. Hubby who is from CA is doing so much better than me.

I haven't tried to buy the tea yet but am guessing Holland and Barrett would have it.

Stu likes it here but he is always getting homesick especially for things like baseball, surfing and Carls Jnr!

That is funny you are homesick for CA and your hubby isn't!! I ahevn't spent much time in CA but I miss things I used to enjoy on my visits like good Mexican food and the Hello Kitty shop at the Mall of Orange, how silly is that?!

Have you got a nice hospital and midwife here?

lunar - Thanks for the well wishes, this is our first so it's gonna be pretty interesting to say the least!

Britwife - I have a great hospital here and no need for health insurance!! I'm still fighting claims over the states that my insurance neglected to pay, no fun.

Hopefully I'll have some news soon!

my thoughts are definitely with you! :)  just remember that labour eventually ends and then you'll have your perfect little one and love will overwhelm you... take care!!

How exciting - your first baby!

Good luck.  I have two boys; one was a week early, the other a week late.  There's no telling.  It's natural to have a bit of anxiety, but they all eventually come out in the end.

The staff in the maternity ward at the hospital my boys were born in were great.  Having children here in England was a great experience.  My health visitor was wonderful.   I feel so lucky to have had my kids here, with midwives and health visitors looking after you.  Just follow your instincts and you'll be fine.

What a happy time!   Good luck!  :D
