Firefox problem - Chrome registration and Java
« on: September 16, 2009, 01:46:05 PM »
I don't know what's going on, but every time I start up Firefox, I get 'Chrome registration' failure notices. I can still open Firefox, but then it takes me to the Extensions panel, which is blank. So I close it and can still use Firefox. But this is getting old. Sometimes I get 4 notices before Firefox will launch.

I also, every day, keep getting a Java update, which I've tried repeatedly to install (and it's not like I haven't done this before), but the next day, I'm told to update again.

The only thing I have recently installed is AVG anti-virus, which scans daily and is fine.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm using Vista.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Yes. But I'm going to try again. As I said, the Extensions panel often comes up blank.
