Shipping company needed - Chicago to London

I'm moving to London in a week and was considering shipping some of my things over.  I originally thought I'd bring it all in suitcases when I make trips back to the US, but am now leaning towards wanting all my belongings with me at once...problem is, I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money.

I'd probably have around 5-10 boxes of things I'd want shipped over I would think, maybe more.  Has anyone dealt with shippers in the Chicagoland area and have any recommendations?  Also, how much have those of you that went the shipping route spent total?  I reeeeally don't want to end up spending a ridiculous amount to ship a few boxes over.

Thanks!  I wasn't going to ship furniture or anything that huge, but definitely wanted to ship all of my kitchen stuff as it's pretty nice and would cost a fortune to replace.  Also have some nostalgic items I'd hate to part with.

They have a 'baggage' service, which ends up being lots cheaper than paying the extra bag fee of the airline. The first "bag" (which includes boxes, trunks, etc) is high, but each additional bag is much less. I came from rural Oregon Coast, so the cost of most places was just really, really high - and this was the best option.

I haven't received my shipment yet, but it's gone through customs, and I'm just waiting for the delivery folks to arrange a mutual time. I totally agree that you need some of your 'stuff' with you. This house won't seem like 'mine' until I get my stuff!
