Magimix food processor--ever on sale?
« on: November 22, 2009, 03:01:43 PM »
I've decided I really need to bite the bullet and buy myself a food processor.  The problem is that I am pretty much sold on the Magimix and they never seem to be on sale.  I'm going to a special Fenwick's event tomorrow, and I should be able to get it at 10% off.  I'm wondering, though, if I should hold out for a better deal. Has anyone had any success with finding them on sale, particularly in the post-Christmas sales?

I think they are pretty much price regulated. Have you tried Amazon? They might be a bit cheaper there.

Good luck!

You might find an end-of-line sale, but I suspect Amazon will be the one with the better discounts. Found some fab Le Creuset sales there.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

I got one recently for under £100, it was from Debenhams, they had a sale on which brought the price down, and then they took 20% off as it was the last one. Got it home and it didn't work  (!!!) so brought it back to store and they found another one in the stock room and exchanged it.
Debenhams do good "20%" off weekends, or you could open up a store card for 20% off, buy it, pay it back then close the store card maybe (lots of hassle though!)

I would watch ebay for ones that are pick up only, if you don't mind second hand, they normally hold their price well, but if you have to pick the up they tend to go for much less.

Not sure how convenient or helpful this is, but Selfridges is having a 20% off event this week from Thursday-Sunday.  There's a coupon on their site at:  http://www.selfridges.com/facebook/  There's a list of exclusions, too, so you can check to be sure.  I didn't spot Magimix on the list!   ;D

Thank you!  I haven't been finding really great deals at Amazon, but I will definitely start checking out Debenhams.  There's one opening in Newcastle city centre soon, too, so maybe there will be some grand opening type sales?  At any rate, I'll start paying attention!
