source for crystal beads
« on: July 23, 2009, 03:22:29 PM »
Hi all. I would like to take up a hobby of making crystal malas (strings of 108 crystal beads, with a larger bead and a tassle, used for prayer and meditation). Does anyone know of a good online source for the equipment and beads needed to get started? Thanks!

Sorry, Carla. I meant to post here. I don't know about UK specific sites. But I do know that Etsy is often very reasonable to for ordering supplies. I'd try there and I'd also try Ebay (UK and/or US). I don't buy beads, but I do buy other things from both places.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Nothing more to add as far as where to find beads. This just reminded me of a great book called Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Thats all!  ;D
