Crafts - Where to buy supplies online?
« on: November 02, 2009, 01:33:30 PM »
There aren't any craft stores around where we live, so I'd like to order some things online to make some Christmas decorations with DSS this year. Where would you go for the best deals on regular stuff like felt, glue, stickers, craft sticks, ribbons and other little things we would need to do some easy crafts? Any good online shops for this? I've looked at a few sites, but they seemed a bit pricey. Thanks!

I've been looking through a load of sites in preparation for craft shopping if/when we move, so I'll be reading this topic with great interest. :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Jewlz, there is a hobby craft - or whatever that biggish chain is called in the UK - in Gateshead. It's not all that far from Costco IIRC. Once you get driving, I'd make the effort to go there and stock up. That or watch the online places for sales and free delivery specials.

Marlespo, depending upon where you may live (Jewlz lives very rurally so this doesn't apply to her so much), you may luck into some independent craft/scrapbooking stores. When I lived in Exeter there were a couple and that's not a huge city.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
