How did you meet?

Hi!  I'm an American teacher and have just moved over from Colorado to London.  I've lived in London before for a year.

Just curious as to how I can meet other friendly singles?  Any advice from the marrieds, engageds, or dating?

How did you meet your significant other?  Was being an American any factor?  Should I just join a dating site?

I moved in 2003, joined a dating site that autumn, met my now DH the next spring and got married this past June!  :)

My bit of advice is to get involved in activities you are passionate about and you will certainly attract someone.  I was visiting Ireland, taking fiddle workshops and that's how I met my now hubby.
