I don't - it was said as a joke when the poster said it tasted delicious, but they are the ones trying to convince themselves by having veggie food that resembles meat!

I think you're reading too much into it!

I love Tofurkey... I wish I could get it up in this neck of the woods.
However, nearby, I did find some brand "Cheatin" that does a mock chorizo. That was terrific and a great way for me to get my chorizo needs fulfilled.

Have you tried making your own?  One Christmas I made a 'tofu turkey' and it tasted pretty good.  I've lost the recipe that I used, but this one looks similar...

I made my own homemade stuffing for the inside.  It ended up looking like the last picture.

That looks pretty good, Red5! After this conversation... I keep thinking more and more about tofurkey... I may have to try this out.

Although, I will admit that 5 pounds of tofu sounds like a commitment!

I could probably scale it down a bit, however!

Yes, 5 pounds is a bit much!  I don't think I used that much tofu when I made it.  Otherwise we would have been eating it for a long time.
