American magazines in the UK.
« on: November 30, 2009, 08:36:09 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get american magazines here, or if theres a way to subscribe to them while i'm in the UK? My bookstore that I love in Brighton is closing down. Besides all the people that are going to lose their jobs, i'm really upset about not having my american magazines. It seems like the only place to get them, i'm just happy to have any here but it was just so nice.

Which ones do you mean specifically?  I still buy Vanity Fair (found at most newsagents and WH Smith) and as for pop culture (People Mag kind of stuff) I find most of that kind of stuff on the internet, so you might not need to spend the money!

Our WHSmith does TeenVogue, Seventeen, a couple of teen idol magazines, Oprah, Us, American Vogue, American Elle, Rolling Stone and I'm sure a couple of others.  The station WHSmith has People.

I'll miss Borders too, though.

Yep -- my husband switched our VF subscription as soon as we moved.   ;D All of the Conde Nast publications available are listed at www.magazineboutique.com -- it sounded like a third party URL, but it's the official subscription site.
