-update-

My doctors appointment went so well... I can not express how much that means to me. So they are taking a full blood work next week. They re-newed my medication for another month (which might change after blood work). Because I am not hyper they scheduled me for a breathing therapy.. for my heart rate and anxiety to hopefully see if those issues are more stress related than thyroid (in the states I had xrays and MRIs came up with nothing last month). They also said I can stop the anti-flam prescription I was on which will help with the heart rate as well.

It was a very promising appointment. I asked questions, told them what I was concerned about and my new GP said in the next few months we will sort it all out one at a time. I mentioned my weight gain and he said that is definitely something we will address to... just one step at a time.

I couldn't be more optimistic at this point.

That sounds really good. Glad it went so well.  :)
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Also wanted to add that I got my Medical Exemption Certificate (its a little plastic card for your wallet) today. It took about 3 weeks in the mail over the holiday season. With a thyroid condition you are exempt from paying for any prescription prescribed to you.

I went in last week for my thyroxine without the certificate and it was no problem.. even when you are waiting for the paperwork on your certificate thyroid meds are completely free   either way.

Thanks for sharing Colleen.  I am glad all went well and it's nice to know that the meds are free.  Happy New Year to you.

If anyone else expereinces this don't forget to ask about getting them for free.

My mil paid for over three years before her Dr. remembered they should be free.  ::)
