Happy Tuesday all. Weather and Mexican Food in the UK
« on: December 08, 2009, 02:25:29 PM »
I see it is raining in most places in the UK at this time. I wish I was there!

Many posters have mentioned missing Mexican Food and have trouble finding it in the UK.

I came on this menu, that has Mexican food on it,  just now and I hope I can put it on here. On the lower part of the menu it shows Nachos and salsa and other items. The cafe is in Exmouth.

Sadly, they are probably the "nachos" that are actually fried flour tortillas cut in huge triangles with white cheddar cheese rather than REAL nachos.  I have made the mistake of ordering "nachos" too many times and have been disappointed each time :(

On this Happy Tuesday, there is breaking news on Tiger Woods that says a woman was transported to hospital from his home just now.
It is very confusing to follow because it says she has been released from the hospital. I am guessing it is his mother in law.

We have given up on Mexican food in any other place other than Texas...it's just too disappointing. We even tried it in Sharm El Sheikh.....it's never as good as you hope..

The last time we ate at the Texas Embassy it is was not to bad.

One of my classmates (I'm originally from Dallas) said the Texas Embassy was founded by another Dallasite, which is why it's supposedly semi-passable.  I don't know, as I've yet to give it a go.  At least I can console myself with having a close-to-accurate recipe for El Fenix's wonderful Tortilla Soup, the crack of all cracks...  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
