March 26, 2012: VISA ISSUED! :D
May 14, 2012: MOVING TO SHEFFIELD!
March 17, 2014: Passed Life in the UK Test!
June 14, 2014: ILR Approved!

I'm in the same boat, although we've seriously talked about getting married (as you can see by my posts :)

No, it was all planned.  We actually had a really nice ceremony, I had a proper dress and DH had a suit with tailcoat.  We had flowers and a limo provided by the chapel and photographs and everything.  You can have a really posh wedding in Vegas these days.  And it's simple, straightforward and inexpensive to get married there.  I'm actually really glad we chose it.

Since DH and I met in Vegas - I wanted to get married there but there wasn't time.  We keep talking about having a "reunion" tour and do our vows again there at the palms by he pool where we met ;-) <insert geeky romantic music>
