Nintendo Wii
« on: January 09, 2010, 08:02:25 PM »
Hello all,

I'm wondering if anybody might know if I can bring over my daughter's games for her Nintendo Wii. I know the machine won't work in the UK, but I'm not sure if the games she already has will work in a UK Wii unit. Thanks.

there are two video systems - NTSC and PAL, the US is NTSC, and UK is PAL sadly the games will not work over here. You "might" be able to take the games to a trade store and ask to trade them but depends on the store.

Your Wii will work in the uk no problem. You will need a new psu/adapter for it and unfortunately the uk(pal) games will not work with your US(NTSC) wii

^ Yep, the machines def work!  We brought our US Wii and our US Wii games and all is well at our house.  We stocked up on US Wii games while we were back at the holidays, but if we were younger and neeeeeeeeeded games sooner ( ;)), someone could post them to us.
