Glad that you made it and enjoyed it for the most part!  Do you all have a sat nav?  We have a tom tom  and it really helps.  It wasn't all that expensive-you can use it in your personal and work car.
And as far as SUV's being big...out here you have to worry about  tractors!  There have been a few times that I have had to back up to the nearest passing point to let the tractor by.

Glad it worked out with the Corsa.
Your story made me kind of laugh, thinking about the very first car i ever had here in the UK... a massive, GIANT Nissan Patrol 4x4... on narrow London streets with cars parked up and down both sides!

Yeah, there are tractors out here, too. Once I came around the corner on a really narrow road with no lane markings and there was a truck with half a house on it hogging up the road. I ended up riding the kerb just to get past and nearly had a heartattack. DH was with me and was really miffed that the guy didn't have a police escort, apparently they are supposed to have one when traveling on narrow country roads. Hmph! I think we will get a sat nav or something soon, but so far I am doing ok finding my way, and I'm afraid something like that would just confuse me more or take me the more complicated route because it's quicker or something. All the company cars have them, I just didn't turn mine on today so I could find my own way.

Glad it worked out with the Corsa.
