Spouse visa approved, now what?

Hi everyone,

well i made it out to London. Here i am! I am wondering now what ? Do I apply for some sort of identity card? How do i get a NI number? what do are my next steps?

i'm signing on to  GP, getting put on my husbands bank account, and getting put on council tax etc...

As far as ID, you can apply for a provisional license. You don't get a Biometric Identity Card from UKBA because your visa was issued outside the UK.

Somewhere in the depths there is a thread with a list of things to do, but I cannot seem to find it at the moment but it's somewhere in Healthcare & Insurance or Expat Life.
