NFL in the UK 2010
« on: January 13, 2010, 11:54:28 AM »
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/01/12/weaver-jaguars-wont-lose-a-home-game-to-london/

According to the link, there are reports of 2 games in the UK in 2010.  One of the home teams will be the San Francisco 49ers, and one will not be the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nick Halling said on Sky Sports recently that he'd heard it would be the 49ers or the Philadelphia Eagles, which I'm sure is exciting news for their fans (assuming either team has any ;) )

GO COWBOYS!!

camoscato - I love that all sports threads you end with Go Cowboys ;-)

I am torn....I grew up as a Cowboy fan by family but now my lil brother and stepdad love the Eagles...

I don't watch NFL on TV at ALL (I prefer college football - GO LONGHORNS)

I love to go to live events of ANY sports so thanks for this link - it would be fun to take DH to a American football game.

I'm English and been to 3 NFL games in the US.....took DW to the Wembley game in 2008 and that was her first NFL game!!!

Take him to an American one as well because the atmosphere and experience is much better - Wembley is like going to an English football game until you see the field! Well, apart from seeing all the different team jerseys that people are wearing.

Easy: Cowboys.  (Duh.) ;)

My dad and my sister are Longhorns alums.  I went to North Texas, a center of excellence in the field of college football futility, so I don't follow the college game as closely as the NFL.

The game sells out really fast, so make sure you go to the registry of interest to get the emails from the NFLUK when tickets go on sale:

It's official:

49ers-Broncos latest London affair

Quote from: ESPN.com
LONDON -- The San Francisco 49ers will play the Denver Broncos next season at Wembley Stadium, the fourth straight year the NFL will stage a regular-season game in the British capital.

The 49ers will be listed as the home team for the Oct. 31 game.

Yup... got my tickets too. End Zone...my favorite place to sit... ;D

Can't wait! I've been a life-long 49ers fan so this is just perfect. Trying to convince my brother & Dad to come over for the game
