Basketball or Football?
« on: February 12, 2010, 05:16:05 AM »
I just got into an argument about which is better basketball or football (soccer)?

What do you all think?

Whose fans are more passionate?

Football all the way for me! Just want to know what the masses think!

Got to be football. I find basketball to be tedious, it's only worth watching for the last 5 minutes, other than that it's "oh they've scored, oh now the other team have scored" etc. It's the only US sport I don't like - I even went to a game in the States and it was a really close game going down to the final shot and I didn't find it exciting.

I've never found the sport interesting at all. I find footy so much more exhilarating and I'm always amazed at how passionate the fans are! I love that.

P.S. My friend and I asked this question on our facebook statuses; while no one has responded on mine yet, he's got a fair few responds and looks like footy is winning over basketball. Haha and he said it would be a landslide!

Haha, I think my friend was having a laugh.

But as DB just explained to me, I'll never make my friend understand how much football differs--as far as the passion, the hard work, and the fans-- from basketball.
