Just thought I should let people know that Tescos now offers sourdough bread from the La Brea bakery. Perhaps I have been away from the US too long, but it tastes pretty good to me! :)

Thank you for this recipe! Ever since I saw it I've had it in mind. I made the soup last night. I have to say, I nearly cried with delight! It was delicious... even better today! What I would give for some sourdough though!
On a different note, I also made chocolate chip cookies and they turned out very cake like. I am so bummed. I wonder what I did wrong?! I wonder if it had to do with the flour I used?

It probably wasn't the type of flour but that you didn't use enough.  Uk flour is different and you have to adjust up.  Check it out here.  http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=34101.msg450580#msg450580

Oh my goodness, I didn't realise UK flour was different. That makes sense because I followed  an American recipe. I will have to convert next time.
On a side note, I'll be going to Tesco soon to find some sourdough bread!
Follow your bliss.
