Registering Birth Abroad
« on: March 19, 2010, 01:05:22 PM »
I found the link below with info on registering your child's birth and applying for SSN and American passport.  Does this info reflect the current process (I know things change all the time)?  If so, what is different now?

It's pretty much the same.

Make an appointment online with the Embassy, fill out the paperwork, show up, pay the fee and you get the Certificate the same day, the passport about a week later and the Social Security Card in about 2 months.
