So I have arrived safetly in the UK as of the 12th of March ^_^ I know I have only been here roughly a week but it was mentioned on here that the immigration laws will be changing for the ILR in 2011.. my Visa is good until the middle of 2012. I might be jumping the gun just a bit but was curious does anyone had any idea on whats going to be happening in immigration next year? Because by the time my visa is ready to expire I will be going with the current immigratioin laws and after everything we went through with the spousal visa I do not want to be unprepared.

Thankies again for all those on here that give such wonderful advice ^_^ I know I would be lost without you.

Unfortunately, we don't know what the new process will be. Best thing to do is just keep an eye here and on the UKBA website and you'll know when we do.

As WebyJ said, no clue what the changes will be yet...we all just have to sit and wait.  In the meantime, I'm just hanging onto the documents that are required for ILR to be on the safe side.

Thank you Weby,

Guess I will just have to keep stalking the board and the UKBA website.

Yeah since I just got my spousal visa approved and just got into the country I need to start researching what I need for the ILR just in case, until we know what the new changes are going to be.

This is the current process as the spouse of a British Citizen:
