ILR- When, how? Help!
« on: August 23, 2004, 10:35:07 AM »
I'm positive this question has been asked before but I'm having a dim moment and can't find it when I do a search in the site or even in all my immigration links.

My FLR (Spousal Visa) expires in the middle of next July. What is the procedure for getting the ILR? What is the correct timescale for submitting the application and how long does it usually take to come back? Is it possible to do this in person? How much does it cost? OR... Where are these details found?  ;D

My brother is planning a summer wedding and I don't want to be caught without my passport at the crucial time!

Thanks!

Jen

You can do it in person - costs more (£250), but at least it's done in one day.  I think everyone including Croydon takes appointments now, which is good!  You cannot apply sooner than 4 weeks before your FLR expires.
