i dont think its funny at all for anyone to assume that this wonderful neighbor would be veg or vegan..........as she seems to be very into meditation, tai chi, etc.......everyone that i know that is devoted to such a life style is very devoted to proper nutrition such as no meat, no dairy, no sugar, no wheat, no processed foods etc...........i would take it as such a compliment if my neighbors noticed that i protrayed myself as such......weather i was or not.......i think everyones ideas on here were wonderful suggestions weather it involve meat or not.

I don't think Cheesebiscuit was assuming anything, more like trying to avoid offending or embarrassing. Like not giving someone a bottle of wine if you aren't even sure if they drink or not. Lots of great ideas here anyhow, hippy or not!

I was thinking I make a nice multiseeded loaf with sundried tomatoes and I'd sub parmesan for veg parmesan just in case

My hubbys a veggie and he said he thought that would be a great gift "There's just something classy about fresh baked bread." he went on to say. ;p
