I think I am weird because I don't remember especially worrying about any of my visas or citizenship. I think those who worry are the normal ones though. To me, it was just - ok, fill out these forms, gather up a boatload of paperwork, and pay a big wad of money, Bob's your uncle.
I joined UKY for the social aspects of the site.

I didn't know about UKY when I was applying for my fiancee visa back in the US. After the wedding, I was too dazed to be much worried about the FLR. We did my ILR in person so I was there to see them go over it all & give me the vignette (good thing too, because their first attempt, they got my surname wrong). And then coasted on into citizenship.
