New member, British however!
« on: April 12, 2010, 06:43:59 PM »
Ok don't panic. I am British but my Girlfriend is not, she's one of you lovely lot. We're just trying to work out how she can move here permenantly, we are both 21.

Now I considered myself intelligent but reading Uk Border website has got me baffled, so I googled moving to the Uk and this place came up. I'm looking for help/advice when I find the relevant forum.

Cheers.

Hello and welcome!  Brits are just as welcome as Americans, so don't worry!  ;)

Welcome to UKY!

If marriage is an option for you two, that is one of the easier visas to acquire. Anyhow, ask questions and I'm sure they'll have answers.

Welcome to a fellow Brit!

Simple answer - Easiest way is for you to get married in the US, apply for her spousal visa and then she moves over.
That's what my wife and I did.
