Black Books

Is anyone re-watching or just found this show?  Personally, I think it's hilarious with the dark and dismal Bernard, the bright and quirky Manny (Bill Bailey) and Fran (Tamsin Greig) in the middle ground.

I love Black Books! I've got (I think) all the episodes.  I haven't watched them in a while, but maybe I'll have to go back and re-watch.

I think my favorite episode is the one where Bernard & Manny raid the wine cellar while they're house-sitting. The whole Igor thing almost made soda come out my nose. :p

It's one of my favourite shows of all time! DH gave it to me as a b-day present one year. :) I've watched the episode where Manny becomes a jazz pianist at least a dozen times. Never fails to crack me up. That whole show is comedy gold.

I own the box set.  Love it!  My favourite one is where Dylan Moran's character and Bill Bailey's get drunk and write a kids book.  In case you're wondering, the monkey has it in the tree.   ;D

I'm so jealous of you that own the box sets!  I think I'm going to have to add it to my wish list...

The children's book episode was on last night.  Hence my picture change.  I used to work in a bookstore and just find even more comedy in this show.

They've been repeating the episodes on More4, Dave and Dave ja vu lately.  I also found you can watch the episodes on channel 4's website!   ;)  Also, if you're in the states you can watch the episodes from TVGuide.com.

Yeah, great series. Loved the one where Manny goes to work at the mega-bookstore next door and eats all the muffins!

Appeals to any of us who have ever worked in a bookshop -- or indeed any retail. Somehow I don't think PBS will ever pick it up though  :-\\\\

I doubt it as well.  However, you never know - it could end up being looked at as the "Are you being Served" of the early 21st Century.   :-\\\\ (Doubtful though.)

It's one of my all-time faves, too. But then I'd pay good money to watch Dylan Moran doing just about anything.

It's one of my favourite shows too.  The wine episode is probably my favourite, but there are so many great ones.
