Chipotle London

I expected to pay more - I didn't expect a 4/5 pound burrito.  I am hoping that I will make it there the end of June for the weekend and this is on my place of things to see just the the eye ;-)

I doesnt look like its any more expensive than in the US. I ate there all the time and a burrito with a soda was always close to $9. Im heading down there tomorrow and will post my review when I get back.

We just came back.  It was good and maybe 1/2 full on a Sunday mid-afternoon.  The burritos themselves didn't seem quite as massive as they do in the US (and I think that's a plus).  Mine was very tasty and I'd go back, but I like Chilango every bit as much.

It was £6.60 each for a chicken burrito -- about £1 more than Chilango.

Like Pengi, I'd seen a review saying it was £15 per person, but it was £15 and change for 2 chix burritos and 2 diet cokes.  Not a super bargain, but not all the way to crazyville, either.

The price isn't bad.  I think it's about the same in Chipotle in MN now, or close too in dollars, which like Starbucks, they just changed the currency kept the price the same.  The burrito looks a bit bleh,  I think the author didn't like it and so picked photos that make it look bad.

I have been to BarBurrito here in Manchester and found that really comparable to Chipotle and a meal deal (burrito of a good size and drink with a few extras...guacamole etc) came to £7.50. However, I think that the burritos are easy to replicate at home, and really good!!

Aw, those prices aren't that bad.  They're not great (I think I pay about $6.60 for a burrito here in the States) but certainly doable.  I was holding out hope for a £5 burrito or some such, but I'd still buy it at £6.60.

Now to convince all my English friends..

They boy and I went yesterday, overall the burrito was fine, but I found the experience (Food/Restaurant) quite bland, I actually think 1910 has a better burrito which tastes fresher (and the steak is cooked better, and has nicer pico), although the tortilla itself at Chipotle was better.  Also I just remembered they used the short grain American rice and it seemed quite hard and bitty which wasn't good.

The burittos aren't as big as the US ones (thank god!) and they are about £6 which was fine, but I thought £1.40 extra for guacamole was extortionate!

The tortilla chips were good, I remembered all you ladies and the interest in it, so I took some pictures for you, they were just taken with my blackberry so sorry about quality




















Overall it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again, and the boy agreed, it was absolutely American Central though which was funny, I'm pretty sure I was the only brit in the whole place!
