Hello
« on: August 26, 2004, 02:07:51 PM »
I have a few posts floating around here but haven't done a right and proper introduction. So here it goes...

I'm Tanisha and I currently live in Kansas City, Missouri but am a St. Louis area native. I will be moving to Leamington Spa sometime this fall to be with my lovely Brit Nick, his son Ben and our hyper little terrier Pups.  :)

Nice to formally welcome you, tanis!  Looking forward to seeing you more-even if you don't like Imo's!  ;D

Oh, a fellow Missourian!! I'm from around Poplar Bluff originally, little town called Ellsinore. It's about 2 hours south of St. Louis. I'm living in Oklahoma right now but hopefully will be relocating to the UK within the next 2-4 weeks (keeps fingers crossed for approval of marriage visa).

Welcome to the board. I just started using it myself.

Hi tanis,  I'm in Leamington, If you have any questions or need any help finding your way around when you get here just ask :D. It's a nice town, and there are a more than a few expats around.Once you're settled you can meet up with us for a coffee at Starbucks ;D

Welcome to UKY

I'm still annoyed that after all of these years, I only found UKY in July.  I'm just a couple of miles from Leamington Spa and there are obviously lots of expats around here!

Good luck with your move!

Hi Tanis and welcome! Hope your transition to the UK is a smooth one. I am in Coventry which is just a few min from Leamington Spa. Feel free to ask me about any questions you may have. I see there are a few others from Leamington so you already have friends here!
Best of luck
Pebbles :)

Thanks everyone for your kind words of welcome. I'm sure that I'll be looking all of you up when I'm in Leamington. I've enjoyed my time there and am looking forward to living in the area despite the unexpected and a bit shocking introduction to the yob culture that I had during my last visit. Don't get a lot of that where I live in KC.

canys_girl - I actually have heard of Ellsinore. I have most of the towns in Missouri floating around my brain somewhere due to a couple of stints in fundraising. Hope everything goes well for you in getting your visa.

Tanisha
