My advice is to reconsider. The UK is clamping down big time on the number of non-EU migrants it allows in the country. Without a degree or any special skills you basically have no hope of getting a work-based visa. You could try a student visa, but then you would first need to be accepted to a program of study, and also the tuition fees are quite high for foreign students. If you finished your bachelors in the US, you could possibly do a BUNAC internship in the UK. But really, if you're just looking to spend some time in a different culture, perhaps consider a working holiday visa for Australia--you could live there for up to a year. In a perfect world, moving to another country would be as easy as saying "let's go" but unfortunately the reality is that it's much harder than that, and often simply not possible.
