Chris Brown denied UK visa, tour cancelled
« on: June 08, 2010, 06:30:11 PM »
Quote from: BBC News
US singer Chris Brown has been forced to postpone his UK tour after being denied a visa to enter the country, it has been confirmed.

Brown was refused permission on the grounds of being guilty of a serious criminal offence, the Home Office said.

He was sentenced to a community service order for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna, last February.

Maybe they should have sorted out the visa before booking the concert venues?

You would think so, but maybe the venues need to be booked really far in advance?

Lies. I think the Home Office listened to one of his albums and rejected him in order to protect the british public from terrible music. Pity they didn't do the same with Lady Gaga. :P

And yes, larger venues generally have to be booked well in advance. Remember the problems when Michael Jackson died and the O2 Arena had to cancel the 50 shows?
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Heh. This makes me happy. Even a Rich A$$ Mo'Fo' can't get a visa! :P I'm sure he'll be fine. ;)
