We decided to go to RAF Feltwell...

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, United Kingdom - The 48th Fighter Wing and 100th ARW will host an American Independence Day celebration July 4 at RAF Feltwell including flypasts from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and "The Sally B" B-17.

Gates open to the public at noon and close at midnight after the fireworks display, which will begin at 10 p.m. Area road delays are expected due to the number of visitors in the area.

Throughout the day, there will be many opportunities to enjoy live entertainment including a performance by Check Six, a premier jazz band of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band.

Other events, shows and booths include:

Carnival rides

Game booths

Kids play area

Lasertag

Climbing Wall

Car & Bike show

Helicopter display

Birds of prey demonstration

Cheerleader demonstration

Over 30 food booths for every taste

Animals, with the exception of those for the disabled, will not be allowed into the festival area.

For security reasons, all items being brought into the festival area will be searched before the owner can proceed past the entry point. For a list of items that can and cannot be brought into the festival area, call the 48th Fighter Wing Straight Talk Line at 01638 522 900.

We're  staying local and going to an "American Extravaganza" that one of the primary schools in Twyford is putting on. They're having an Elvis impersonator!
