So Sean and I were hungry for something snack'ish one night, I suggested I make him some nachos. He'd never had them but sounded pleased with the idea.
I headed into the kitchen, opened up a fresh bag of tortilla chips, looked in the fridge for the cheese only to discover we had none. Now, I told him then that we had no cheese, so we'd just have to make do with plain chips instead. I already had them poured out on a plate, so I simply brought the plate of chips into the living room. He scarfed down a handful then looked at me with nodding approval. I looked back at him curiously.
He smiled and replied, "these nachos are fantastic"...
"........NACHOS? They're tortilla chips... (you fool)" was my response.
"Well whatever they are, you've done a proper good job on them."
Now.. I TRIED explaining that I did absolutely nothing to prepare them, that they're just simply crisps.
Two weeks later he says to me...
"Those nachos we had the other week were good.. do you think you can make them again tonight?"
Well.. it WILL take me all day slaving over a hot stove, but I might just be able to manage it.
