Victorian Pharmacy

It's got Ruth Goodman from Victorian Farm in it.  I'm finding all the remedies and treatments quite interesting.  Is anyone else watching this?

When and where, please!? It sounds like something I'd really like!

It was just on on BBC2.  I think it's only a 4 part series this time around.  I just found it tonight and was super excited.  They went into how Lea & Parins sauce came about - super cool.

Ooh!  Thanks for pointing this out.  I'm a sucker for stuff like that, but I probably would have missed it.  Since I got a Netflix subscription, I've been ignoring current t.v., and it's not the sort of thing my bf watches, so he probably wouldn't have mentioned it.

I really don't like Ruth Goodman, but I like the series so far.  The chicken show before it was awesome as well.

I really don't like Ruth Goodman, but I like the series so far. 

I LOVED Victorian Farm but I also didn't like Ruth very much. I didn't dislike her, I just found her cheesy sometimes.

In my experience, they ran BBC documentaries on Discovery channels fairly frequently in the US.  Sometimes they would make it to PBS (I think they ran the older time period series), but usually Discovery (or TLC if it was something like "Britain's Fattest Man" or other Channel4 "documentary" freakshows).

Of course, this was 3 years ago.  Maybe BBCA is starting to do documentaries now.  They didn't back when I had it.

Yeah, I remember seeing Regency House Party, 1900 House and Manor House on PBS years ago (like I said, I LOVE this kind of stuff  ).  So there is a good chance it might air there.

Tell him to checkout TVGuide.com every so often for any shows of interest.  Never know, and if it's been shown and he's missed it 9/10 they have it available to watch on the website.  (I've already checke for VP and so far there's no listing.)
