I see women wearing jeans that don't look good on them, but I think it's because they can't find styles that are flattering to them that are in their size.
Yes, definitely. Jean shopping can be one of the most depressing things, and eventually you just give in and buy something that fits, regardless of if it is flattering. I'll admit I used to do that all the time. It took me ages to find a brand of jeans that fit me properly, and annoyingly that brand only exists in the states. So I had to take an empty suitcase and stock up the last time I went back!

As for UK fashion, there is a lot of ugly stuff here, but just the same as in the states. I prefer the shops here, though. Coming from northeast Ohio to London has probably influenced it, but the clothes are great! Granted, the cheap stuff here is
really cheap and of terrible quality. I've taken to going to designer sample sales just to get quality, well-tailored clothes at massively discount prices merely because anything I buy at Primark (or such) literally falls apart after a few wears and doesn't fit well to begin with. If only I had my sewing machine over here...
